A little creativity can go a long way toward spreading kindness and hope.
DJ’s Alliance is teaming up with Smyrna Nutrition for Buttons, Rocks & Community, a free, family-friendly community event where participants of all ages can create colorful buttons, paint kindness rocks and help share encouraging messages throughout Delaware.
Whether you’re an experienced crafter, looking for a fun activity with your family or simply interested in meeting neighbors while supporting a meaningful cause, everyone is welcome. No artistic experience is necessary, and all craft supplies will be provided.

DJ’s Alliance is known for sharing colorful buttons with messages of encouragement, compassion and hope at community events throughout Delaware.
During Buttons, Rocks & Community, participants can make something special to take home or help create buttons and painted rocks for DJ’s Alliance to distribute during future outreach activities, including the upcoming Survivor Day Trot 5K/Fun Run.
These small handmade items serve as reminders that kindness matters, connections are important and even simple gestures can help someone feel supported.
The event also offers an opportunity to learn more about DJ’s Alliance, a Delaware nonprofit dedicated to suicide prevention, postvention and supporting individuals and families impacted by suicide loss.
A Community Event for All Ages
Buttons, Rocks & Community is designed to bring people together through creativity and service.
Families, children, teens, adults and community volunteers are invited to participate. Whether you make one button or spend the evening creating items to share, your contribution can help spread a little more encouragement throughout Delaware.
There’s no cost to attend, no artistic experience required and no expectation to donate.
