Advocacy

Suicide Loss Survivors are

65%

more likely to attempt suicide than our peers grieving another kind of loss.

Delaware experienced

130/145

reported suicide deaths in 2023 and 2024 respectively.

Up to

30%

of Delaware’s current population could have been impacted by a suicide that occurred in state between 2002 and 2022.

An Open Letter to Delaware’s new Administration

DJ’s Alliance, the Coalition for a Safer Delaware and the Delaware Suicide Prevention Coalition worked together to craft an open letter to Delaware’s new administration asking for investments in suicide prevention infrastructure. Together, we collaborated with another 30-some organizations across the state and across advocacy sectors to say ENOUGH is enough! We need support. We have successfully presented this to Lt. Gov. Kyle Evans Gay’s office!
