Tuesday night was a pretty special night for DJ’s Alliance 💜🩵 DJ’s Alliance Founder and Executive Director Jennifer Antonik received a Governor’s Certificate of Honor, recognizing her work in suicide prevention and postvention and the work that has grown through DJ’s Alliance.
Hearing Gov. Matt Meyer personally acknowledge Jennifer’s story and the lifesaving work of DJ’s Alliance made for an emotional moment — and a reminder of just how far our organization has come.

DJ’s Alliance was born from loss and a determination to make sure people grieving a suicide don’t have to figure out what comes next alone. Since then, that determination has grown into survivor support, community partnerships, advocacy, resources and work to strengthen suicide prevention and postvention across Delaware through efforts such as DJ’s Act, HB 54, which established an Office of Suicide Prevention in the First State.
“This work belongs to the whole community — the survivors who have trusted us with their stories, the volunteers and partners who continue to show up, the policymakers and organizations willing to listen and work alongside us and every person who has believed that Delaware can do better for people impacted by suicide loss,” she said. “It’s an honor to have celebrated alongside so many Delaware changemakers — including some who have become dear friends and partners in this work.”
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported our work so far and continues to do so. Congratulations to everyone who received a Governor’s honor.
DJ’s Alliance has come a long way.
And we’re just getting started. 💜🩵
